Cheap Auto Insurance Through Simple Comparison?

When I asked my friend how much he is paying for his auto insurance I pretty much expected that he is paying a lot more than me since he is driving a very sporty car but I was damn wrong. He is paying less although with his car his auto insurance should be more expencive than mine. He said that he had collected dozens of auto insurance quotes online and compared them to find the cheapest deal and he encouraged me to do the same for my car. Although my car is quite old he told me that I could devinitely get a cheaper auto insurance than what I currently pay.
