Funny Story About Vacuums
When my dad had to do a spelling bee as a kid in high school he was confronted with the word Vacuums. Now most people would think this was an easy word to spell, but realistically it is illogical at best with the two “U’s”. He of course spelled it with two C’s and one U as most people would have but this of course was incorrect. Now every time he uses a vacuum or passes one in the store he tells us this story of the spelling bee where he should have known about the other U and one C. When i say the word I usually will (to remember myself) say the U in a long way just to mess with him!
