Correct Lookup Numbers

How long does it take to get accurate information on someone once they have changed their phone number? I am asking because the last couple of times that my husband has called me on his new cell phone number I have not be able to recognize the phone call. When I do a reverse lookup numbers it also is not able to give me the accurate information for who was calling. It is not until after I actually talk to my husband that I find out it was him who was calling. How long does it take to transfer or update this information?
