I am Glad I took the Time to Read the News that Day
We had just bought the new house, and the baby was due in a few weeks. Things were going great, and I even received a better job offer. The prospective new employer would add another twenty minutes to my commute, but the pay would be great. I thought about it. I just did not know what action to take. Then I got up the next day and read the Wall Street Journal. I found out that the company that I was working for was going under. No one had bothered to give me the news at work. I decided at the moment to take the new job. If it was not for the journal no telling what would have happened to us.
