Letting The Students Know I would Still Be Available if They Need Me

I’ve been teaching heating and Air Conditioning classes for about 5 years. I really enjoy working with the students because they always have interesting questions. Last week I was promoted to the head of the school’s industrial training department. I was told I would no longer have teach classes after this semester, and the school would be looking for a replacement for me. I really wanted the promotion but I was sad that I wouldn’t be teaching in a classroom setting. Toward the end of the semester I tried to make it clear to all of my students that if they ever needed anyone to talk to or had a problem my door would be open.
